Got a friend who bought two GT-3's after he saw mine. He has windows 7, same as I do. He can not get Chirp to recognized what com port the cable is using. We go to Control panel, devise manager and check what com port the cable is using. Then we go to chirp and assign that com port. Then we want to download up upload radio file changes and the com port is not available or is not recognized.. Go back to control panel, nothing has changed. Stumperd. The Baofeng software cause the computer screen to wiggle and bounce around badly. Same software I got through the GT-3 package. My computer is alittle older than the other person who is having difficulties but we are both running windows 7. Believe his is home professional while I have home basic.
